Black Rain

Black Rain

Self Released

Out July 14!!!

Get your sad rags on and come dance at the dark disco that is ‘Black Rain’. Heavy hearts and heavier eye-liner are the dress code to this dreamy electro debut album of shimmering guitars, subtle yet resonant vocals and bone-shaking basslines. Describing themselves as, ‘Too goth to be punk. Too punk to be goth,’ the North East’s Black Rain are a mesmerising mix of haunting hooks and deliciously chilling tunes fit for star-gazing and riot-starting at the same time. The lyrics of ‘Satanists’ are particularly cutting and sadly societally accurate. Delicate guitars swirl like wisps of smoke around ‘Shot Gun’s’ pleading vocals. ‘Black Rain’ is formed of five studio tracks and four live ones so you kinda get the best of both worlds with this release. The intro to ‘I Suffer Alone’ (Live) delays gratification for what seems like hours, lighting the long fuse for an intense spoken vocal explosion. ‘Black Rain’ is the intense pressure that builds before a storm all the way through to the clarity and refreshment felt at its climax.
