Interceptor

Via Mighty Music Records

Out September 5!!!

Get prayed up or buckle up because this is not just heavy metal. This is not only full throttle rock and roll. This is not simply neck muscle-mangling, horns aloft, feel the full force of a band coming in at a bazillion miles an hour. This is muthafkn Fury. And ‘Interceptor’ is all of the above. The fuse is lit. The pin is pulled. The only way to survive this killer album is to get yourself on board and marvel at this unrelenting fire ball of power, positivity, feeling and focus. Because when the speed shredding, heroic guitar solos, sh*t hot vocals coming at you from all angles and Becky Baldwin’s stratospheric bass detonate, lives will be lost. In the metaphorical ‘Yes! Pound my braincells to mush and replace them with your pummelling highest octane finest metal bangers!’ way. The title track, best night ever anthem ‘On The Town’, hard won success celebration ‘Look At Us Now’, we are, indeed, looking at you. But also in a skin-shedding sense. ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ is your soundtrack to self-belief. ‘In Pursuit of Destiny’ eases off the gas but shoves in ethereal vocals and classic metal guitars to hammer home the ‘pick your path, take control of your life’ vibe. The vocal intro to ‘Don’t Lie to Me’ is a battle cry into this blues infused critique of those liars, cheats and thieves who run the world and run us folk into the ground. Country-soaked slow dance with depression ‘Walk Away’ really showcases the depth Julian Jenkins’ and Nyah Ifill’s dual vocals bring, and how deep this band dig into both their musicianship and mental health to bring their best. ‘Interceptor’ has it all – made by a band that have clearly given theirs.
