Out Now!!!!
Throw yer head back and scream for This House We Built because they are comin’ in hard. ‘Get Out Of The Rain’ is huuuuuge. The sound is big, the songs are ambitious and the band are absolutely smashing it. Smashing what exactly? Eye sockets (courtesy of the earth-shattering low-end heft of ‘Crash n' Burn’). Expectations (epic ‘Rain’ with its soaring – almost choral – vocals and spine-tingling crescendo of a chorus). Emotions (‘One by One’ sounds like being held by a safe pair of hands who have a helluva lot of understanding about how tough things can be). Never mind a house. This is a skyscraper. ‘Get Out Of The Rain’ is next level This House We Built. It’s the sound of the band shedding their skin and moving not just forwards but upwards. Cathartic ‘Desires’ is the sweetest song, with roughly an album’s worth of stuff squeezed into it. And it oozes good times, good advice and a nice bit of bad influence. Anthemic and gorgeous ‘Drifter’ could easily trouble rock radio playlists. This House We Built hold nothing back on this album. String section? Hair metal? Power ballad territory? Hell yeah! And this list includes the boys’ hearts and souls. They’ve given everything to this record. Orders from the band themselves? Turn it up to 11. Do as you’re told kids…
